South Korea's 1-Year IRS Surges 5.50bp to 3.4750% on July 22

According to Yonhapinfomax, on July 22, South Korea's interest rate swap (IRS) rates surged, with 1-year IRS climbing 5.50 basis points to 3.4750% as of 4:30 p.m. Five-year and 10-year IRS rose 4.50bp and 5.75bp, respectively. The sharp increase in short-term rates was attributed to market expectations of continued policy rate hikes ahead of the next day's Q2 economic growth release.
