South Korea's Central Bank Expands Reserves With 13 Trillion Won RP Purchase on July 21

According to Yonhapinfomax, on July 21, South Korea's central bank executed a 13 trillion won RP (repurchase agreement) purchase and other liquidity measures, including 2.5 trillion won in fiscal transfers and 2.8 trillion won from public pension funds. These actions are expected to increase daily reserves significantly, with overnight call rates standing at 2.726%.

On the previous trading day (July 20), reserve requirements increased by 4.5 trillion won net, while the cumulative reserve deficit reached 29.9 trillion won. Overnight call trading volume was recorded at 20.1 trillion won.
