Ukraine Destroys At Least 7 Russian Aircraft in Crimea Strikes; Kyiv Sees 30 Killed on July 4

According to reports from Ukrainian and Russian officials, Ukrainian forces conducted drone strikes on Russian military airfields in Crimea on July 4, destroying at least 7 aircraft. The same day, Kyiv came under renewed attacks, killing at least 30 people, while Russia reported Ukrainian strikes in Zaporizhzhia caused 5 deaths and 18 injuries.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russian forces have "completely liberated" Luhansk. In international developments, NATO plans to commit 70 billion euros in military assistance to Ukraine in 2026, with pledges of at least equivalent support in 2027.
