Ukraine's ARMA Takes Direct Custody of $8.3M USDT Seized From Hacking Ring on June 27

According to ARMA's official report, on June 27, Ukraine's Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) received $8.3 million in USDT in custody for the first time—a practical implementation of new state digital asset management protocols.

The seized USDT originated from an international hacking group's operations targeting individuals and companies across Europe and the U.S. through large-scale cyber attacks, extortion, and money laundering via real estate and digital asset purchases. The group's total damage is estimated at over $100 million, with $11.3 million recovered to date. ARMA stated the move reflects coordinated efforts by Ukraine's State Bureau of Investigation and Office of the Prosecutor General to enforce court-ordered asset seizures and preserve state custody capabilities.
