Yi Kong Autonomous Driving Wins China's National Science and Technology Progress Award for First Time in Mining Drones

According to Zhitong Finance, Yi Kong Autonomous Driving (07687) was awarded the National Science and Technology Progress Award Second Prize on July 8 as the second-completing institution for the project "Key Technologies and Application of Large-Scale Open-Pit Mine Green Intelligent and Safe Efficient Mining," led by Northeastern University. This marks the first time China's highest science and technology award has been granted to an autonomous driving project in the mining sector.

As of June, Yi Kong's autonomous driving solutions had been deployed at over 40 mines, powering more than 3,100 autonomous mining trucks in regular operation, a scale ranking first globally. The company has achieved commercial applications across extreme environments including sub-zero temperatures, high heat, and high altitudes, validating the reliability, stability, and economic viability of autonomous mining vehicles.
