Ripple Co-Founder Larsen Backs Gillibrand's Son on $30M APEC Funding Round

According to POLITICO, Theodore Gillibrand, 22-year-old son of Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, secured $30 million in funding on July 2 for his fintech startup American Perpetuals Exchange Corp (APEC) at a $300 million valuation. The investment was led by venture firm Lux Capital and included backing from Ripple billionaire co-founder Chris Larsen, along with hedge fund manager John Griffin, investor Mark Ein, and more than 30 other backers. Most investors contributed between $5,000 and $10,000 each.
