Alibaba Bans All Anthropic Products, Requires Employees to Uninstall Claude by July 10

According to Beating intelligence, Alibaba announced today that it will prohibit all use of Anthropic products, requiring employees to uninstall Claude Sonnet, Claude Opus, Claude Code, and other related tools, with the ban set to take effect on July 10.

The move follows Anthropic's recent submission to the U.S. Senate in June, in which the company accused Alibaba of conducting "industrial-scale model distillation attacks" by using multiple accounts for high-frequency interactions with Claude. Subsequently, Anthropic has tightened controls on Chinese users, resulting in widespread account bans.
